CIHR Operating Grants released

We are pleased to announce CIHR operating grants to principal investigators Harvey Goldberg, PhD, and Dean Betts, PhD. These were pending from the 2013 competition announced earlier this year.
Goldberg and Graeme Hunter,PhD, both of Biochemistry and Dentistry, along with Physiology and Pharmacology's Frank Beier, PhD, receive nearly $750,000 over five years for the project titled: "Functional Characterization of Bone Sialoprotein"
Betts of Physiology and Pharmacology receives $138,000 over five years for a project titled 'Extra-telomericfunctions of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) isoforms.'
Vania Prado, PhD, of Robarts Research Institute still has a pending on her grant of $180,000 over 5 years for 'Exploring cholinergic mechanisms to understand behavioural deficits in dementia.'
