Dr. Ana Igric honoured with the Dr. John D. Brown Memorial Resident Award

Given to a postgraduate trainee in any area of medicine who displays excellence in patient-centred care and reflects the values and practices of Dr. John Brown, known for always putting his patients first, Dr. Ana Igric was honured as this year's Dr. John D. Brown Memorial Resident Award recipient.

Dr. Igric graduated from Schulich Medicine & Dentistry in 2008 and is currently finishing a combined General Surgery & Critical Care Residency. During her time in residency, she has become known for her compassionate, calm and comforting approach to patient care. She always takes the time to answer any questions her patients and their families may have regarding their care.

Dr. Igric often goes above and beyond to help her patients and their loved ones feel more comfortable during a stressful time. Her easy-going and open manner allows her patients to easily trust and confide in her.

She is an exceptional resident and a wonderful role model for not only students and junior residents, but all her colleagues across the health care spectrum.
