Dr. Sandhu awarded prestigious ADEA Fellowship

Please join the Dean in congratulating Dr. Harinder Sandhu, Vice-Dean and Director, Dentistry, on being selected as the ADEA/Sunstar Americas, Inc./Harry W. Bruce, Jr. Legislative Fellow. This is the first time the American Dental Education Association has awarded the fellowship to a dental educator outside the U.S.

The prestigious fellowship represents an essential step toward ensuring that dental professionals, dental educators, and legislators are communicating and working together on policies and funding that have the greatest benefit for the oral health of the United States. Towards that end, the fellow works for three months in Washington as an ADEA staff member within the ADEA Policy Center, Advocacy and Governmental Relations office. The focus of the fellowship is to experience, first-hand, working within the Congressional process on issues that relate to dental education, dental research, and the overall oral health.
