Interim Chair/Chief, Department of Medicine

Interim Chair/Chief, Department of Medicine - Subject to the Hospital Boards and Provost approval, it is our pleasure to announce the appointment of Dr. Robin G. McFadden as Interim Chair/Chief of the Department of Medicine, effective February 1, 2012 to January 31, 2014.

Dr. Rob McFadden graduated with his Medical Degree from The University of Western Ontario in 1977. He completed post graduate training in Internal Medicine and Respirology both at the University of Western Ontario and Boston University.

He joined the staff at St. Joseph's Health Centre of London in 1983, where he currently resides as the Chief of Respirology and the Site Chief of Medicine. Dr. McFadden is also the Medical Director of the COLD Program and Pulmonary Function Lab at St. Joseph's, in addition to his position as Professor of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. McFadden has been involved with and has led or leads numerous committees throughout his career, both through The University of Western Ontario, Department of Medicine along with St. Joseph's Health Care. Some of these duties include the chair of Medical Advisory Committee and Director, Quality of Medical Care. Over the course of Dr. McFadden's career, he has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate classes, in addition to serving as Program Director in The University of Western Ontario's Division of Respirology from 1985-2004.
