Citywide Chair/Chief appointed for Department of Oncology

We are pleased to announce Dr. Glenn Bauman's reappointment as Chair for the Department of Oncology for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, as well as his appointment to the new role of Citywide Chief of Oncology for London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care, London. Dr. Bauman commenced the role of Chair/Chief effective July 1, 2010.

Dr. Bauman is a radiation oncologist specializing in genitourinary and central nervous system malignancies and is the Medical Director for the Genitourinary Disease Site Team at the London Regional Cancer Program. He received his medical degree from Western, where he also completed his residency in Radiation Oncology. At The University of California in San Fransisco, Dr. Bauman completed a clinical fellowship in Radiation Oncology in the area of adult and paediatric brain tumor treatment before returning to Western and London as a member of the Department of Oncology.

Dr. Bauman is also an active clinical investigator. His primary research areas are in the effects of uncertainty on radiation treatment delivery, image-guided radiotherapy, and cancer imaging. Dr. Bauman has given many presentations on brain tumors and prostate cancer worldwide, to professional and public audiences.
