Adams to receive Canadian Liver Foundation Gold Medal

Dr. Paul Adams has been selected to receive the 2010 Canadian Liver Foundation/Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver Gold Medal for sustained excellence in liver-related research.
Dr. Adams is Chair/Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and a Professor in the Department of Medicine. He is also a Lawson Health Research Institute Scientist. His research focuses on the iron-overload disorder hemochromatosis.
The medal is the highest honour given by the Foundation and Association and recognizes significant achievement in the field of liver- related research. The medal will be presented on February 28 at the 2010 Canadian Digestive Diseases Week (CDDW) conference in Toronto.
