Michael Rieder and Frank Beier named Faculty Scholars

Two Schulich faculty members have been designated among Western's newest Faculty Scholars, recognizing international presence in their discipline and outstanding contibutions to teaching and/or research.

Frank Beier, Department of Phsyiology and Pharmacology, and Michael Rieder, Departments of Medicine, Paediatrics and Physiology and Pharmacology, will each carry the title of Faculty Scholar for two years and receive a stipend of $7,000 per year for scholarly activities.

Western designated a total of 12 Faculty Scholars this year for significant achievements in teaching or research.
