Play sheds light on ethics of palliative care

London Community Players present "The Shadow Box," Michael Cristofer's award-winning meditation on death and life under palliative care. The play explores the dehumanizing effect terminal illness has on sufferers, and the alienating divide clinical procedure can drive between patients and doctors. It is unique in its ability to portray the ethical dilemmas encountered when attempting to keep terminally ill patients pain free, and stands as an excellent dissertation on this weighty issue for medical students and medical professionals alike. Tickets for Western students are only $10.

Directed by Schulich Medicine & Dentistry's own Dr. Barry Tepperman, London Community Players' production is presented in collaboration with Hospice of London, which will have representatives at each showing for discussion of hospice care realities.
