Challenge Surpassed
In 2015, the National Hockey League Players’ Association made a donation of $500,000 to support concussion research at Western University. In doing so, they challenged alumni, athletes, philanthropists and community members to raise the remaining $2.65 million required to advance this critical research. Thanks to the leadership of Eric Lindros, LLD’18, Dr. Peter Fowler, MD’64, researchers, including Arthur Brown, PhD, and a committed group of volunteers, more than $3.1 million in total has been raised. The completion of the challenge was announced and celebrated at See the Line on August 16, 2018 at Western University.
