Dr. Caitlin Symonette completed her graduate training, medical school and Plastic Surgery residency at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. She then went on to complete a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship in Vancouver which included exposure to both adult and paediatric populations. Her clinical area of interest is general paediatric surgery with a subspecialty interest in paediatric hand surgery. Her specific research interests include health system optimization, use of technology in the assessment of hand function, and the influence of gender roles in surgery.
