Sukhmeet Sachal

Short bio: I was born in India and moved to Surrey, British Columbia at the age of eight.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University and then went on to live in the Canadian Arctic for six months where I learned how social determinants impact health.  This further led me to pursue a Master of Public Health at Western University and my M.D. at the University of British Columbia.  Ultimately, my experiences in public and global health led me into pursuing plastic and reconstructive surgery here at Western.  When I am not in the operating room, I love being a poutine connoisseur, exploring new places, public speaking, working on healthcare innovations and watching Bollywood movies.
