Dr. Chris Scilley
Dr. Scilley began undergraduate education at Queen's University in 1972 graduating in 1980 having completed an HBSc (Life Sciences) and his MD. He entered the Orthopaedic Program at Queens completing 2 years before transferring to Western University in 1992 to complete 4 years in the Plastic Surgery program successfully in 1986. Training in London was followed by a Brachial Plexus & Facial Nerve fellowship at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine Norfolk Virginia and a Paediatric Burn Fellowship at Shriners Burn Unit in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Scilley returned to London in 1989 to run the Burn Unit at LHSC Victoria Campus as well as carry on a diverse general practice which included burns, complex wounds, trauma, hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, skin cancer including melanoma and breast reconstruction.
Dr. Scilley retired from University practice in 2019 and now keeps busy doing a minor procedure skin cancer practice part-time at LHSC as well as surgical assists in Orthopaedic and General Surgery at several local hospitals. He has also completed several locums at LHSC, Sault Ste Marie, Windsor and Orangeville.
