Description of Research Activities: HLA typing by serologic and DNA molecular methods. Lymphocyte cross matching by complement mediated cytotoxicity and flow cytometry. Screening for HLA reactive antibodies and specificity analysis in transplant candidates and refractory platelet transfusion patients.  Characterization of uncommon and rare HLA alleles.  Characterization of immunogenic epitopes.
