Description of Research Activities: Dr. Maleki’s research is focused on understanding how to sensitize hard-to-treat cancers to immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors. In particular, inducing neoantigen formation in tumor cells by blocking their DNA repair pathways and studying the effect of changing the gut microbiome on anti-tumor immunity and immune-related toxicities.
