Hanif Ladak has partnered with MED-EL, a company that develops cochlear implants, on yet another project. “One of the challenges with cochlear implants is programming the implant after surgery,” explained Ladak. “We are using imaging to assist with development of programming methodology to optimize hearing outcomes,” he added. The University’s strength in Otolaryngology and imaging make it a natural leader in this research area.
