Breast Cancer Canada 2024 Precision Oncology Research Grant Recipients Announced

The Department of Oncology, and the Centre for Translational Cancer Research would like to congratulate Drs. Caroline Hamm, Lisa Porter, and Mark Vincent on recently being named the Breast Cancer Canada 2024 Precision Oncology Research grant recipients.

Their respective projects were evaluated based on the four precision oncology pillars: basic science, screening and detection, personalized treatment, and patient-reported outcomes. Their projects and funding are as follows:

  • Caroline Hamm: $75,000 for “Assessing the effectiveness and implementation of the CTN program, using a navigator-assisted clinical trial enrollment platform”
  • Lisa Porter: $75,000 for “Establishing a Biomarker Platform for Postpartum Breast Cancer”
  • Mark Vincent: $50,000 for “Evaluating small molecule RAD51 inhibitors”
