Imaging
ImPaKT’s CL2+/CL3 barrier enclosed imaging equipment:
3T PET/MR Scanner, MR Solutions
The cryogen free multi-nuclear 3T PET/MR scanner incorporates the soft tissue morphological imaging of MR with the sensitive functional imaging of PET. This system allows for sequential or independent imaging with either modality and is equipped with specialized beds and coils for small preclinical models. This unit includes beds with HEPA filtered biocontainment sleeves for imaging of CL3 mouse models.
IVIS Optical Imaging System
The IVIS Spectrum CT is designed for 2D and 3D optical imaging with bioluminescent or fluorescent signal overlayed on photographic (2D) or CT (3D) images for anatomical context. A specialized containment vessel was designed and manufactured in partnership with the Robarts Research Institute to enable imaging of CL3 mouse and hamster models.
Vevo 3100 Imaging System
With a powerful combination of high frame rates and advanced image processing, the Vevo 3100 micro-ultrasound imaging system reduces speckle noise and artifacts while preserving and enhancing critical information for small animal in vivo studies.
Multiphoton Microscope
The LaVision Biotech scope is equipped with multiple detectors allowing for simultaneous detection of up to 6 channels, including 2 detectors highly sensitive for detection of far-red wavelengths. The instrument is also equipped with a cloud scanner allowing for efficient excitation with less photo damage, permitting longer imaging at deeper depths.
Synthetic Chemistry Suite
The ImPaKT laboratory has partnered with Lawson Health Research Institute for development for routine generation of radionuclide-labeling of small molecules and antibodies for use in PET imaging.
