Applications now being accepted for the 2017 Global MINDS @ Western Summer Institute in Machakos Town, Kenya
Travel to Machakos Town, Kenya from May 21 to June 3, 2017 with Global MINDS @ Western this summer. In its first year of operation, the Summer Institute will focus on finding new and disruptive solutions to mental health challenges in East Africa.
In Kenya, students will have the opportunity to work collaboratively in groups to develop projects and intiatives which will then be rapidly tested, evaluated and disseminated over a period of up to one year. These projects are eligible to receive seed funding and be implemented in their relevant settings with direct oversight of Western University and local faculty, and in partnership with local stakeholders.
Senior undergraduate, graduate and professional students are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.
