Retiring with Strong Minds
Our goal is to promote and increase knowledge exchange between students and the London community through presentations and interactions between graduate students from Western University and older adults in London. Students gain valuable presentation experience while engaging with the public, and older adults are provided an opportunity to learn about current research being conducted at Western University.
2024/2025 Call for Presenters:
We are currently recruiting graduate and professional students from ALL disciplines and faculties, at various stages in their research projects, to present a lay summary of their research. Presentations are approximately 15-20 minutes with time for questions and discussion following. We coordinate two speakers for one presentation day, so you will not be alone!
If you are interested in participating, please complete our online form indicating your area of research, contact information and availability. Submitting this form does not require any firm time commitment; we will collate your listed availabilities and contact you based on availability of presentation slots. If you confirm a presentation commitment after we contact you, additional details about preparing for your session will be sent to you. We are recruiting presenters on a rolling basis, so feel free to sign-up or contact us at any point during the year.
If you have questions at all, please e-mail us at retiringwithstrongminds@gmail.com or you may contact the Chair directly.
