Short Bio:
I am currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Western University with a secondary appointment in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology. I am the Transfusion Medicine Section Head at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and a clinical hematologist and Director of the Adult Red Cell Disorders Hematology Clinic (sickle cell disease, thalassemia). I completed a Master of Science (MSc) thesis in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University in 2015 and I hold Royal College certification in the Clinician Investigator Program (CIP). I am the recipient of the Physician Services Inc. Graham Farquharson Fellowship in Knowledge Translation with a focus on implementing Transfusion Medicine and hematology research output into clinical and laboratory practice.
