Short Bio:
Dr. Giuseppe Guaiana graduated in Medicine from the University of Milan, Italy and began his residency in Psychiatry at Eastern Piedmont University in Novara, Italy, having completed his training in the United Kingdom he was Board Certified in 2002. He obtained a Master (MSc) in Affective Neuroscience in 2007, and Doctorate Degree (PhD) in 2012, both from Maastricht University (Netherlands). Dr. Guaiana has held several prestigious positions internationally, Assistant Professor (Clinical Lecturer) at University of Hull in the United Kingdom, Attending Physician in Psychiatry in Mendrisio, Switzerland. In 2005 he moved to Switzerland where he worked as Attending Physician in Psychiatry at a state psychiatric hospital in Mendrisio, Ticino Canton. His research and clinical interests are in Psychiatric Epidemiology, Psychosis, Mood and anxiety, Cognitive Therapy and Psychopharmacology. He currently teaches undergraduate students in psychology, and medical students/residents in psychiatry.
