GY Zou
Dr. Guangyong (GY) Zou is Professor of Biostatics, Scientist at Robarts Research Institute at Western University, Canada, and the Director of Biostatistics at Aliementic Inc (formerly Robarts Clinical Trials Inc).
Dr. Zou studied Agronomy at undergraduate in China. In graduate education, he first earned an MSc in Soil Science from McGill University, followed by an MSc in Statistics and PhD in Plant Science simultaneously from University of Connecticut, then went on working as a Biostatistician in Biostatistics Center for Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University. He then returned to Canada, finished a PhD in Biostatistics under the supervision of Prof. Allan Donner at Western University.
Dr. Zou has over 170 peer-reviewed articles, with an H-index of 56. He has over 10 peer-reviewed statistical articles each received over 100 citations. His 2004 article on how to estimate ratios using regression models has thus far received over 6000 citations. He developed the MOVER (method of variance estimate recovery) that has been widely used in constructing confidence intervals. He is currently conducting research on statistical methods for outcome data that have no meaningful units, such as patient reported outcomes and health function measures.
