Kathryn Nicolson
Kathryn Nicholson PhD is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Western University and has created a programme of research that explores the complexities of multiple chronic diseases (multimorbidity) and multiple prescribed medications (polypharmacy) using various data sources including a national electronic medical record (Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network) and a national health survey (Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging). This research involves examining the prevalence and occurrence of multimorbidity and polypharmacy, as well as the associated health outcomes, over time among both adults and older adults who are receiving primary health care and living in the community.
