Teaching Rounds - CCTC
These lectures usually start at 7:30 a.m. almost every morning in the large conference room in the CCTC. Lecture schedules are distributed prior to the block starting and are also available on-line.
Take advantage of the expertise and experience of the CCTC team you are working with. For example, the bedside nurse will be happy to talk to you about the PRISMA (renal replacement) machine, the respiratory therapist can show you how cardiac outputs are done, or the ventilatory settings for your patient etc.
‘The ICU Book’ by Marino and the ‘Bloody Easy’ resource are available to sign out from Dr. Sen’s office. Computer terminals also have Up-To-Date, Medline, etc. available for you for reference. ACLS Pocket Cards will be provided.

Journal clubs are held once per month, done by Senior Residents. Typically, you will get an article to review before the journal club. Read it, as you will be asked questions!
