PhD trainee Kurtis Dekker wins prestigious award
Kurtis Dekker has been awarded the Best Presentation Award of IOMP and the Jack Cunningham Award of COMP/OCPM for the presentation “Towards Optical CT scanning of radiochromic 3D dosimeters in mismatched refractive index solutions at the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, Toronto, June 7 to 12, 2015. Kurtis' supervisors are Drs. Kevin Jordan and Jerry Battista.
J.R. Cunningham Young Investigators Awards
The awards are presented to the top three speakers in the Young Investigators' Symposium held during the annual meeting of the Canadian Organization of Medical Physics. The presentations are judged for scientific excellence and for clarity of presentation. The Symposium is widely recognised as one of the highlights of the annual meeting, with presentations that are of international calibre.
