Dr. Ramesh Vedagiri Sai

Biography
Dr. Sai has over 10 years of training and Anesthesia experience in India, UK and Canada. Ramesh finds obstetric anesthesia to be a very challenging, stimulating and satisfying subspecialty as such he completed his fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia at VH (SSMD) from 2013-2014. Dr. Sai obtained his DA and MD in Anesthesiology in 2002 from Medical College Trivandrum in India, a Post-Doctoral certificate in Cardiac Anesthesiology and Critical Care from Madras Medical Mission in Chennai India in 2003, Primary FRCA from the Royal College of Anesthetists UK in 2005. In 2010 he received the FCARCSI from the College of Anesthetists of Ireland.
Dr. Sai has also an interest in regional anesthesia, research and teaching. He attends an Obstetric Anesthesia conference and Ultrasound workshop every year and is a member of the OAA, SOAP, IARS and ESRA. He is currently working towards his Teaching Certificate at Western University and MSc in Clinical Trials at LSHTM.
Dr. Sai has experience with regional anesthesia, intensive care, obstetric anesthesia, general, bariatric and vascular surgery, orthopaedics, trauma, ENT and airway management.
He is currently the Co-Investigator in an Obstetric research project on fentanyl and low-concentration labour epidurals for which he obtained an IRF for this registered trial. Ramesh is also currently writing a systematic review on Tranexamic Acid for blood loss in Caesarean section. Ramesh has contributed to several audits and presented them in the UK from 2005-2013 and is involved in ongoing audits at VH.
