Dr. Michelle Gros

Biography

Dr. Michelle Gros completed medical school at the University of Toronto and residency training at Western University. Following this, she started working at the London Health Sciences Centre in 2007.

Her areas of interest include obstetrical anesthesia, quality assurance, and undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Dr. Gros was involved with creating the new anesthesia records that are used citywide, and developing a sleep apnea policy as part of the Quality Assurance Committee.

Since 2010, Dr. Gros has been the Site Coordinator for Undergraduate Education at Victoria Hospital, and was the City-Wide Director of Undergraduate Education for the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine.

Dr. Gros is on the curriculum committee for the Anesthesia Residency Training. She is responsible for overseeing 4 sections of the residents’ half-day teaching program. Dr. Gros has also been one of the few core people in the department responsible for the final year residents’ exam preparation. 

Dr. Gros was an examiner with the Royal College from 2013 - 2021.  Dr. Gros was also the Chair of the Anesthesia Competence Committee from 2016-2022, and remains a member on the committee. She is also an Academic Advisor to residents in the anesthesia residency program. 

Dr. Gros completed a two year term as Site Chief for Anesthesia at Victoria Hospital from 2019-2021.
