Western Residents Present at the Midwest Anesthesia Resident's Conference

Last weekend (April 4-6, 2014), five of our Residents, Drs. Fraser Bebbington, Fiorenzo Cusano, Nathan Ludwug, Colin Philips, and Nicole Quigley, attended the Midwest Anesthesia Resident's Conference (MARC) in Chicago, IL, to present their latest findings from ongoing research projects in the Depatment of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine.

Colin gave an oral presentation of his research done with Dr. Achal Dhir entitled "Remifentanil for intubation".

Fraser presented research done with Nathan and Dr. Ronit Lavi, "Perioperative intra-abdominal pressures in patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass".

Fiorenzo presented his research, supervised by Dr. Tim Turkstra, as a poster titled "Early ETT insertion with use of Glidescope: a RCT". 

Nicole also gave a poster presentation of her research supervised by Drs. John Fuller and Bobbi Jo Morrell, "Preoperative investigations for elevtice surgery: an evidence based overhaul".

All presentations were very well received. Congratulations to our Resident's and their supervisors on an outstanding job!
