Dr. Nehal Al-Tarhuni, DDS’09, has received the King Charles III Coronation Medal by the Governor General. This medal recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their communities and to Canada.
Dr. Gopal Bhatnager, MD’86, Resideny’91, has been appointed the Chair of the Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Alishya Burrell, MD’14, has been appointed Assistant Dean, Learner Experience (UME) (Acting), Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University, effective March 1, 2025 to August 31, 2025.
Dr. Susan McNair, Residency’88, MClSc’94, has been named as a recipient of the 2025 YMCA Women of Excellence Awards. Dr. McNair is a pioneering Family Physician and Medical Director of the Regional Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre at St. Joseph’s Health Care London. With over 30 years of expertise, she has transformed trauma-informed care for adult and pediatric survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse and domestic violence. As an educator and advocate, Dr. McNair has shaped provincial protocols and mentored countless healthcare professionals.
Dr. Ayesha Raza, MD’15, was awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal by the Governor General for her work educating newcomers and refugees and supporting women’s health.
