North Carolina orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Annunziato (Ned) Amendola, MD’84, FAAOS, FRCSC, DABOS, division chief for sports medicine at Duke University, was named second vice president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' (AAOS) Board of Directors. His role is the first in a four-year term of volunteer service, during which he will serve as AAOS president from 2025–2026.
Congratulation to Dr. Rob Arntfield, MD’04, Founder and CEO of Deep Breathe, on the announcement that the company has closed on a significant external financing round to expand its ongoing research and development initiatives. Dr. Arntfield is also an intensive care and trauma physician at London Health Sciences Centre and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Western University.

A clinical cardiologist and epidemiologist, Farkouh is internationally known for his academic leadership and distinguished record of diabetes and cardiovascular disease clinical trials.
