Awards of Excellence
The 2019 Awards of Excellence event in Windsor was a true community celebration as faculty, staff, students, partners, and donors gathered to recognize the award recipients, and the tremendous achievements for the Campus.
- Clinical assessment change
While a great deal of effort is being focused on ensuring that the Doctor of Medicine renewed curriculum prepares Schulich Medicine learners for the rigours of clinical practice and expectations of their future patients, change also needs to come to the way we assess learners in clinical situations. - Fostering a safe and confidential space
Learner Equity & Wellness is here to support learners' personal and academic wellness, well-being and success. The Office offers a safe and confidential space to meet and discuss your needs. - Creating a holistic picture of patient-centred care
800 students in Windsor and London, from a wide variety of health care professions, gathered together for the 2019 Interprofessional Education Day. - Resident Spotlight: Dr. Matthew Pfaff, PGY1, Family Medicine
Dr. Matthew Pfaff, a first-year resident in Family Medicine, values the advantages offered through training in Windsor and the mentorship provided by Dr. Dale Ziter. - Student Spotlight: Linda Yihe Zeng
Linda Yihe Zeng, Medicine Class of 2020, was drawn to Schulich Medicine because of the efforts and headways the School is making to create a diverse community on campus. - MD Curriculum Renewal Update
Exciting work is continuing with the MD Curriculum Renewal and we are breaking things down for you. Learn more about the Renewal by downloading a one-pager, watching a short video, reading about the revised and new courses and exploring the impact on rural and regional medical education. - A Q&A with Dr. Davy Cheng
Dr. Cheng's latest Q&A provides updates on the budget, faculty recruitment, advancing the outcomes of the operational and budget reviews from 2018 and more details on the Times Higher Education Teaching Summit taking place at Western in June 2019. - Inspiring youth to discover health care
Do you know a young teen who is expressing an interest in a career in health care? Tell them about the Discovery Healthcare summer camp. Taking place in four communities in the region, it will offer campers hands-on experience with suturing and casting, a chance to grapple with medical cases and diagnose and treat patients. - Discovery Week offers mentorship and learning opportunities
Join us for Discovery Week and provide an opportunity for one or more undergraduate medical students to learn from you and experience rural and regional medicine. - New local institute to combine health care, academic research
A new collaborative research centre in Windsor, combining the efforts of the local health care and academic communities, took a big step forward this week and is set to launch in the spring. - Women of Excellence inspired by those around them
Dr. Bertha Garcia was named a 2019 Women of Excellence award recipient by the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. Recently, she was joined by three other recipients, former Schulich Medicine & Dentistry Dean Dr. Carol Herbert, faculty member Cindy Hutnik, and alumnus and President & CEO Dr. Gillian Kernaghan to reflect on the humbling experience and how other women serve as their ongoing inspiration. - Congratulations
Each year, Schulich Medicine students present their research projects at the History of Medicine Days in Calgary. Congratulations to Taj Brar on second place for best overall presentation. - Refresh your branded templates
Branded templates for your e-signature, powerpoint slides, letterhead and more are available for you to use. If you haven’t updated your templates in a while, branding kits are now available for you.
