Simrit Bains, Medicine Class of 2015, received the Ed Brecevic Award for Compassionate Care. This award recognizes a clinical clerk or resident who demonstrated an exceptional bedside manner and compassionate care.
Dr. Larry Jacobs received the Department of Medicine Internal Medicine PGY-3 CTU Consultant Award. The award recognizes excellence in clinical teaching, resident support and patient care on a clinical teaching unit.
Dr. Paul Ziter, Department of Family Medicine, received the Dr. Ian McWhinney Teacher of the Year Award at the Family Medicine Awards Ceremony.
Congratulations to Dr. Darren Cargill, Department of Family Medicine and palliative care physician, on earning his Hospice Medical Director Certificate (HMDC) this July. The Certificate is granted by the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board to identify hospice medical directors who have demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to practise in a hospice setting.
