Thursday, November 29, 2012
Schulich Dentistry has a commitment to develop in dental professionals, the knowledge and skills to provide exemplary care to the diverse communities that they serve. The latest project, the construction of a new General Anesthetic (GA) Suite, not only speaks to these values, it sets the Schulich Dentistry program apart from all others.
"The GA Suite will be a one of a kind facility not found anywhere else in North America," says Dr. Harinder Sandhu. "Once completed, it will serve as a model for all other dental schools."
This exciting new project has been developed in accordance with Schulich Dentistry's Strategic Plan, and in keeping with the School's strategic objectives. The suite will enable Schulich Dentistry to expand its scope of service to incorporate and help patients with physical and mental challenges. The suite will also be a remarkable asset to Schulich Dentistry by building interdisciplinary training for our students in alignment with the General Anesthesia program and other specialties.
Preparatory work is already underway as we ready for construction planned to begin in the early spring. It is expected that the work will take several months and will be completed in late summer, 2013.
Watch for progress updates and photos as this new Suite takes shape.
