Bio Sketch
Dr. Derek Debicki is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University.
Dr. Debicki obtained his BSc in Physiology (2000) and MSc in Neuroscience (2002) from Western University prior to completing Western’s concurrent MD/PhD program (2009). Dr. Debicki completed his residency in Neurology (2014) at the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at Western University as well as a subspecialty fellowship (2015) in Neurocritical Care & Epilepsy under Drs. Teneille Gofton and Jorge Burneo. He joined the Department in 2015.
Research
His research interests are primarily related to the use of continuous EEG monitoring in critically ill patients.
Medical Intersts
Dr. Debicki’s clinical interests include inpatient consultations in the Intensive Care Unit as a member of the Neurocritical Care service and outpatient epilepsy. He is also a member of the EEG service at LHSC.
