2021 Report
Director's Message
In a year like no other, the Centre for Education Research & Innovation (CERI) showed resilience and adaptability in continuing to ask questions that matter to the field of health professions education and to seek answers that impact.
Reflecting on my first year as Director of CERI, I’m filled with gratitude for our scientists, our staff, our learners, and this community of education scholars we have built. Nurturing this scholarly community was a challenge in 2020, but CERI rose to it, finding new ways to connect with colleagues, improvising modified approaches to collecting and analysing data, and adapting to virtual approaches to disseminating and communicating our work.
We’ve built capacity locally, forged new collaborations locally and globally, and continued to build our reputation as one of Canada’s leading centres for health professions education research. I’m proud to offer this report on our scholarly activities in 2020, and to highlight the range of contributions that CERI has made.
