Substitute Courses

Students completing two modules that contain "common courses" must adhere to the Common Course Policy.  If more than 1.0 common course exists, any additional common course must be replaced by a "substitute course".

Select the module(s) below to see a list of pre-approved substitute courses that can replace additional common courses for modules offered by that department. Note that:

  • a course cannot be used as a modular course AND again as a substitute course

  • a full course, e.g., Physiology 2130 or Phys Pharm 2000, can be mentally split into two half courses.
If two substitute half courses are required and this course is an acceptable substitute course for both modules, then this full course can be used as the substitute half courses for two modules. Alternatively, this full course can be mentally split into two half courses and only one half of it is used as a substitute course.
