Annual Golf Tournament and Summer BBQ
Hello Biochemists!
The Social Committee is pleased to announce that the 2014 Biochemistry Golf Tournament will be held on Friday August 15th at Llyndinshire Golf Club.
Golf activities will be followed by a Department BBQ at the Grad Club starting at 3:30 PM.
This is a great opportunity to celebrate our achievements and bring the summer term to a glorious end!
Golf information
-Texas Scramble Rules:
"Scrambles involve 4-person teams, with each member of the team playing his or her own ball. But each succeeding shot is played from the spot of the single best preceding shot. For example, after all four team members hit their drives, the best of the four drives is selected. The other three players pick up their balls and move them to the spot of the best drive. - prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, lowest team scores and many, many more!
-Cost (plus HST): Paid to Lyndinshire Golf Course on the day of the event.
18 holes is $32 + $13.25 for power cart
9 holes is $23 + $8.75 for power cart
Tee times will be assigned once teams are set. Sign up with Tom (tmcmurro@uwo.ca) by August 8th.
Directions to the Golf Course:
Go north on Richmond St. to Medway Road. Turn right (go east) and go a short way past Medway High. Soon you will see Llyndinshire Golf and Country Club on the right. There is ample parking.
BBQ Information
-$10 includes choice of hamburger, hotdog or veggie burger as well as unlimited fries, salad and dessert squares. BBQ is at the Grad Club on campus and things start at 3:30 pm.
This year's Tournament and BBQ are going to be the best yet and everyone is encouraged to attend!!
Those not pre-registered can order their food off the Grad Club menu!! There will be terrific door prizes and golf prizes donated by our sponsors below.
